Queen Victoria

Top: ASOS, Jacket: ASOS, Shoes: ASOS, Jeans: Topshop, Ring, Bracelet, Earrings: Vintage

Ok, this post should have been called 'Modern Queen Victoria', due to the scandalous trouser wearing, but you all see where I'm coming from with the Victorian esque blouse right?

Recently I was a bit naughty, and spent my Tuesday evening tucked up in bed, feeling ill, and of course, internet shopping! After managing to whittle my basket down from £350 to a more student friendly (but still not that friendly!) budget, I walked away with these three pieces.

I'd never really clicked on the 'Outlet' link on ASOS before, but boy am I glad I did, for these boots were a steal at £35! Coming up just above the ankle, the slightly higher neck makes these ankle boots just a little different, and the suede finish is soooo soft. I have been found talking to them on more than one occasion. The coat was again from the 'Outlet' link, and again, at only £30 for a fluffy winter coat, it was a pretty good bargain. The website said the coat was grey, but depending on what you pair it with, my housemates and I sometimes see it as a brown or a warm purply grey.

The blouse however, is the main act. I've never owned a white blouse before, and I can only hope that it manages to stay this white. The high neck and button detailing at the back, along with the slight ballooning of the chiffon sleeves really make this shirt special. Paired with my three penny earrings, silver charm bracelet, my grandmother's engagement ring, and pinned up hair, and the 'Modern Queen Victoria' look was complete.

Although I bet the real Queen Victoria didn't have to deal with the 'commoners' when taking her outfit photos...
