OCTOBER PLAYLIST

This month it's back to normal on Barefoot Bravery, but let me know if you enjoyed Jasper's guest post, and would like to see more playlist from him!

I thought, for October, I'd select a track from each of the five most recent albums I purchased, as these are the albums that I will be playing on repeat this month.

1. Murder Of Crows- Jamie T Jamie T's most recent album is a mixture of mellow tunes and tracks that you can bop around to (not that I imagine Jamie T ever envisaged someone "bopping" along to one his songs). This album had been on my list for a while, and I love playing Murder of Crows in particular when I'm getting ready for/lying in bed, with Jamie T's gentle tones and beat lulling me to sleep.
2. Light Up The Dark- Gabrielle Aplin A beautiful lady with a beautiful voice, Aplin's new album is slightly more upbeat (in my opinion) then her former, but still wonderful, first album. Light Up The Dark has to be my favourite song on the album so far but I may change my mind after a second listen. Light Up The Dark starts off slow, but around three minutes in, with all the instruments backing her up as she repeats "Light Up The Dark", has to be where the song really comes into its own for me.
3. Mountain At My Gates- Foals The new Foals album was the first thing in my basket, and for me, this song embodies everything I loved about their last album, Holy Fire. However, that being said, I do not condone driving without the breaks.
4. Remind Me- Little May Man, why can't I be as cool as Little May? Little May's collection of ethereal voices and beautiful harmonys make their album special, I can not get enough of their voices, and will listen to this album whenever I can!
5. Don't Wanna Fight No More- Alabama Shakes I love just about everything about Alabama Shakes, their music, their name, their effortless cool, and their recent album is no exception! I highly recommend that if you just go buy one album from the bunch, it be this one!
