Crumbs Cupcakery has been one coffee shop in York that I have been desperate to try for a while now, and let me tell you, the wait did not disappoint. Small and perfectly formed, Crumbs Cupcakery is just as picturesque on the outside as it is on the inside with its location behind York Minster. Inside cutesy and quaint dressers, crockery and bunting fills the room, with a beautiful display cabinet showing off their delectable cupcakes.

I went for a plain hot chocolate and caramel cupcake, whilst the boyfriend went for a Rose Fentimans and chocolate cupcake. Both cupcakes were moist with creamy buttercream icing and beutiful decorations. The chocolate one even had a surpirse caramel filling, adding to the moistness of the cupcake. The service was lovely, and the atmosphere was so relaxing, with cookery books scattered under the tables to read whilst devouring our cupcakes. Crumbs Cupcakery even have a little caravan cupcake shop which I have occasionally seen serving cupcakes in the Minster Gardens during the warmer weather, with sunshine and cake making just about the most perfect combination.
