Summer Holiday Lookbook with FatFace

With the sun shining, increased sales in ice creams and bare legs gallore, summer is definitely on its way, and what better to do then create a Summer Holiday Lookbook!

The lovely folks at FatFace asked me whether I'd put togehter a little Holiday Lookbook for them using two key pieces from their "Holiday Shop". I'm usually a gal who shies away from summer clothing, preferring jeans and woolen jumpers to shorts and sunglasses (confession, I actually don't own a pair of denim shorts) but upon seeing FatFace's range of stylish yet still modest clothing, I knew I had to take up the challenge!

I decided to split up the lookbook into two differnent types of holidays using a key FatFace piece in each. There's one for those of you out there who love to sun worship, and party on down on a speed boat, and one for those among us who love a slightly milder holiday, spent exploring cities and experiencing different cultures. So without further ado, here is my "Summer Holiday Lookbook"

Outfit 1: British Beach

Britain has some beautiful beaches, from the Northern beach towns around my home such as Beadnell and Whitley Bay, to Southern beach towns such as Brighton. So I thought when showcasing these super comfy and versatile FatFace Modern Chino Crops in Navy I'd better start with a British beach themed outfit. Trainers are always best when venturing out on a slightly chilly and windy summer day, as is a macintosh or parka. The chinos are just perfect, as they are long enough to keep your legs safe from the morning chill, but you can also roll them up if you fell brave enough for a paddle. Paired with a light striped knit, you can be both practical whilst looking appropriately nautical.

Outfit 2: Parisian City Chic

My next outfit is something I imagine wearing around a French or Italian city during the late summer months. Comfy sandals and chinos allow you to do plenty of exploring and walking through those quaint winding streets, without the aching feet. Add a light weight pretty top and a large (not crushed like mine) sun hat and your both protected whilst still looking girly and chic.

Outfit 3: Date Night

The long summer evenings provide the perfect opportunity for "Date Nights", when its still light enough after coming in from work for a meal, an evening stroll, and a drink. These chinos are perfect for a relaxed evening, whilst still looking smart enough for a date. Add a pair of summer heels, floaty top, and some jewellery and you're sure to wow your partner!

Outfit 1: Poolside Player

If you love spending most of your day lounging by the pool, soaking up some rays, and swimming lengths, then this outfit it one for you. A key staple to any poolside outfit is a bikini, and FatFace's Pinapple Punch Cody Bikini fits the bill perfectly, with a bold flowery print and halter neck style this bikini is striking. Throw on a light sundress, layered necklaces and sunglasses to give your sun soaked skin some rest bite, and enable you to nip into the local town and grab a bite to eat. Once you're done exploring your ready to go back to sunbathing and pool dipping! Don't forget a trusty rucksack to house suncream, towels and anything else you could possibly need for a lazy day by the pool.

Outfit 2: Party Cruiser

Ibiza, Mykonos, Tennerife, you name it, there's usually a party on a boat, and what better way to shimmy your stuff on the deck than in your favourite bikini? Add a lace crop top, denim skirt, trainers (so you can still bust those dance moves without sliiping and falling overboard), stacks of bangles, your trusty sunglasses, and you're set to party till the sun rises!
(Bikini: FatFace*, Sunglasses (as above), Skirt: Gap Kids (old), Bangles: Vintage, Top: Primark, Shoes: H&M)

I can't wait to wear these pieces whilst on my summer holidays, and work on my tan hopefully! I would highly recommend you check out FatFace's 'Holiday Shop', they have some great pieces. Let me know in the comments below what your favourite look is, I'd love to know!
